Where I’m from has always been a complicated question to answer, but I can start off by saying I was born on May 1st, 1996 in Salisbury, Maryland. My family and I lived in and around Ocean City until I was about nine years old, when we made the big move to Waitsfield, Vermont.
I stayed in Vermont somewhat unwillingly until college, when I ended up attending University College Dublin in Dublin, Ireland. Because everyone asks, I decided to go to college in Ireland because I always wanted to live in another country, Ireland felt like the right place to do it, and college provided the best opportunity. I ended up with a degree in Politics, which has been invaluable in growing my vacation rental business.
After college, I ended up in Washington, DC working any internship and job in politics I could get my hands on. After a successful stint on a congressional campaign ended up in an unsuccessful hunt for a job on Capitol Hill, I gave up on the political dream and settled for something far more lucrative and accessible: real estate.
This led me to investing in properties back in Ocean City while working at a property management company in DC. This lasted until spring of 2021, when I was unexpectedly fired for reasons I still don’t quite understand. Thankfully, this came right as my vacation rental management company, OC Beach Vacations, was really taking off, so I said goodbye to the world of working for someone else and jumped into the entrepreneur lifestyle back home in OC.
Since then, I got my Maryland real estate license, was Rookie of the Year at my brokerage, and OCBV has grown beautifully. I don’t know what’s next in store for me, but my goals now are to purchase more rentals in the area, acquire more management clients, and expand with property purchases nationally and internationally.
There’s still a lot more I want out of life, and I’m doing whatever I can do get it all.
Let’s see where things go.
